Greece Municipal Wastewater Treatment – 480 m³/day
Project Details
To provide an energy-efficient and reliable wastewater treatment solution for the municipality of Larissa, Greece, PlanetDISK® Rotating Biological Disk (RBC) technology was selected for a population equivalent of 2,400 people.
Designed to treat 480 m³/day of municipal wastewater, the system has been operating successfully since 2018, consistently achieving the required treatment performance despite seasonal fluctuations in wastewater flow and loading.
The 6 PlanetDISK® units consume only 2.22 kW of energy, providing more than 80% energy savings compared to conventional activated sludge systems while maintaining stable and reliable operation.
